Have you ever realized the impact of your words on your life? Have you realized, your words make your future and also of your children? Your words are the vehicles to your future.
You said you could not do it, and the moment you said it, you were defeated.
You confessed lack of faith, and the moment you said it, you lost the battle.
You spoke failure; you invited defeat in your life.
You confessed sickness; your situation {sickness} grew even worse.
You talked fear, and fear held you in bondage.
The Bible says in (Proverbs 18:21) that our tongue holds the power to produce life and death
As Solomon says, our tongues hold the power to produce life and death. Have we realized, that we are ruled by the words we speak? The tongue is the source and the medium through which is released life or death in our lives. When we speak life, we release life and when we speak death, we release death. God's word is Life. In (John 6:63), Jesus says that His words are spirit and life. The words of flesh, that is the world produces death. The fruit we see in our life right now is the direct result of the words we have spoken. It does not say, that death and life are in the power of our actions, our thoughts, and our silence; although they may also be an aid or result to our words.
Proverbs 6:2, "You are snared {trapped} by the words of your mouth; You are taken {captive} by the words of your mouth."
Have you ever seen a trap laid for animals and birds? The trap is laid in such clever manner, that the animal does not notice the trap and is caught unaware. The trap is hidden, covered with leaves and with delicious fruits, plants or meat. Often, a bait is hung right over the trap to attract the animal. For eg: A deer is tied over the trap. When the wild animal e.g{Lion} smells the deer from afar, it comes to devour it and is unaware of the trap laid for it and falls in it and may eventually lose it's life.
We are ruled by the words we speak. Very few Christians today realize the power and impact of our words, on every aspect of our lives. Our words form our confession of what we believe and what we do not believe. The word "confession" has often been interpreted wrong. People often translate 'confession' as sin, weakness and failure. But, this is only one aspect of this word. I believe, that our 'confession' is one of the most important aspects of our walk with God.
The profession of our faith, in Jesus, is nothing but the confession of our faith. Hebrews 3:1 says, "SO THEN, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed (professed) [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith]". It is an acknowledgement of what we believe when we confess. 'Confession' also means 'saying the same thing' or 'saying as it is'. When we confess our sins to God, do we exaggerate our sins or hide a part of our sins? Don't you think the Lord God knows and has seen all you have done in secret? We need to confess our sins as they are.
'Confession' is to say it, as God says it. When you take God's word, declare it, profess it, and acknowledge it with faith, you are confessing the word as God says it. So, you need to confess what God says regarding your sins, sickness, failures, disappointments, lack of faith, etc.
Jesus tells us in Mathew 12:37, "For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced"
Your words will decide where you would stay, either with God, for all eternity in heaven or in the lake of fire that is prepared for the devil and his followers. Romans 10: 8-10 says, "But what does it say? The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach, Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
Your heart is a medium through which you believe and through your mouth you confess and confirm your salvation. So, take God's word on forgiveness, healing, faith, love, victory, and anything that you desire. Confess it aloud everyday, and believe what you say will come to pass. Confess the Word of God a hundred times or more, and that word will produce results and transform your situatuion and life. Your future depends on your words, here on earth and also at judgment. Mathew 12:37, "For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced." Your words are the vehicles {carriers} of all you hope for, to manifest itself in your future and also your present. Your words will make or break your future. 'Watch Your Words.'
