He is the devil. He is also a thief, a killer and a destroyer. He is in reality your only enemy. He is a fallen angel. Isaiah 14:12;
Luke 10:17-20
He is cunning and very evil. He first appeared on earth in Eden, the garden of God.
He seems to be there everywhere the children of God are gathered. Job 1:1
He is in control of many demons. Ephesians 6:11-12
He is very clever in his attack.
You are to beware of “the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
It is impossible to defeat him by human wisdom. You can never prevail against Satan by your natural ability or intelligence. He is the master of the “flesh” and so no arm of the flesh can prevail against him.
This is the evil one you are at war with. This is the one you are to face in battle. The serious thing about the war is that it must continue... until the close of ages!
There could be no possible peace agreement with him or with his agents.
Since the time of Eden, human existence had been full of conflicts. That is why life is full of wars.
Life is full of disappointments, fears, worries and depressing situations.
Therefore, you also have to live and win over these situations in your personal life.
The word “Satan” means "obstructer.” Satan is there to obstruct you on your very way to success.
You must overcome obstacles; if you want to succeed and reach your goal.
Satan is a deceiver. Don't allow him to fool you.
And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. Zechariah 3:1
Satan is an adversary. He would love to resist you. Don't allow him. Keep on moving, keep on burning until the end of the day.
"And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him." Revelation 12:9
You must be strong to live a victorious life. To live a victorious life is to walk in conformity with the ways of God.
Therefore, you must be prepared in advance for the battle. You must be battle ready all the time.
Watch and pray for it's easy to leave the way of God and fall into defeat.
"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Mark 14:38
If you are to live a victorious life, you must be conscious of the problem that you are faced with.
You must be conscious that you are on a battlefield. Life in itself is like a war. Only the strong wins.
The battle for survival is a day – to – day conflict.
Life is full of confrontations. Satan would come to obstruct, resist, and oppose your progress.
He would come to steal, kill and destroy you peace and happiness.
But you have the power to stop him. Give him what he needs.
Resist the devil and he will certainly flee from you. James 4:7
If you want to win in this battle, you must know the nature and tactics of your enemy.
You need to understand also the weapons that are available to you. As in any war, you must master how to use your weapons effectively.
God gave you a mind to think things out. He gave you power to imagine.
He anointed your tongue for power. Through the power of words you are able to create order and perfection out of chaos and disorder.
Jesus came to destroy the work of Satan:
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1John 3:8
He came to “delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved son” Colossians.1: 13
“That they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.” Acts 26:18
Jesus said:
“Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. John 8:44 – 45
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not.”
Don't be ignorant of the truth.
You have a great advantage over Satan. He has no power of his own. He uses only the power that is “delivered” unto him. Luke 4:6
