What you say is what you get

29/09/2009 00:00

The way you use your tongue matters. What you say is what you get. Your talk is what you say with your mouth.

It is your confession or affirmation.

The words you speak are your personal decree. They are your confessions. They must accomplish the purpose for which they are directed.

They never return void. If they are good, acceptable and perfect, you will receive blessing.

Your mouth is an important tool for success. It is however like a two edged sword. Your lip is a small thing. Yet it determines the affaires of your life. It determines whether you succeed or fail out in life.

What differentiates the human level of creation from all other levels is its ability to talk clearly and correctly.

This demonstrates that human beings would need this ability for their survival on earth. You can change your situation in life. But you will have to change your words. The words that come forth out of your mouth are not by accident.

They have a hidden source in the dept of your heart.

Jesus taught the truth. He said you speak out of the abundance of your heart. So that what you say is a reflection of your heart.

For, the words of your mouth come from your heart to your mouth.

“..for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
Matthew 12:34

That is why David the king wrote, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalms 119:11

The question is what are you filling your heart with? Are you filling your heart with the word of people or the truth of God?

For what is more in your heart is what comes out of your mouth.

It is what you will talk about most of the time. People in the world speak of the world:

“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world.” 1 John 4:5

But you are encouraged to speak differently. And so you talk, God is always present. He is attentive to your demand. He is ready to give your very heart's desire.

Human tongue is a creative tool to bless or curse. That blessing or curse starts with you. It starts with what you use your tongue to say about your life and situations.

This is the powerful effects of prayer. And since you must ‘earn'your subsistence, prayer is your human supreme duty.

It is your supreme work. Thus prayer, as in any work, requires rhythm and rigour to be effective.

Finally, Bible says:

  • “Death and life is in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21

  • “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.”
    Isaiah 55:7-11

(This passage concerns the Word of God. It applies equally to your words. They never return back to you void.)

  • "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10

  • “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” Proverbs 13:3

  • “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”

    James 3:5-6

  • “Even the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father, and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.”

    James 3:8 –11

  • “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

CONCLUSION:

You can receive all that you desire or need. The only thing stopping us from having what you need is our thoughts and actions put in wrong words.

If you would change your thoughts, actions and words, then we will change your life.

You can be a master over any situation or condition as long as you are connected to the SOURCE of all bounty.
